Medical Imaging

Medical Imaging is the use of any of several technologies to view internal structures and processes for medical diagnostic purposes otherwise visible only with invasive procedures. The technologies available at Southern Ohio Medical Center include the traditional ones of X-ray, fluoroscopy and ultrasound. We also have the newer technologies of CT Scanning, MR Imaging, Mammography, Gamma Imaging and the latest technology, PET scanning. At SOMC we feel it's imperative to stay on the cutting edge of these proven technologies, and we are doing just that.
