WorkWell
WorkWell was developed to provide access to comprehensive medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses. This program works in coordination with the SOMC Injured Worker Clinic and Industrial Rehab Department to provide complete injury management. SOMC Rehab Services can help an employer reduce injury-related lost time, increase worker productivity, and improve the overall health of employees. The WorkWell Program utilizes a team approach of communication that keeps all team members involved. The backbone of this program is the cooperative relationships the WorkWell team shares with our local employers and medical professionals.
Participants in the WorkWell program have access to our Industrial Rehabilitation programs. Our staff works with the employee, employer, and physician to design an individualized treatment plan, which focuses on early and safe return to work. When appropriate, Transitional Work Specialist will visit the job site to help the employer decide what duties are best for the injured worker given their injury status and current work restrictions.
