The SOMC Cancer Center is now offering access to clinical trials through the Columbus Community Oncology Program (CCOP).  Our patients are eligible to participate in National Cancer Institute (NCI) sponsored trials with the goal of improving the treatment of cancer and the development  of new medical knowledge. Our clinicians are committed to translating research into new and better options for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. 

Clinical trials are studies that evaluate the effectiveness of new drugs and strategies. Today’s most advanced cancer treatments started as clinical trials. Patient participation in clinical trials is important so that new therapies may advance treatment options for future cancer patients.
