Cancer Committee
Not only is every cancer patient treated as a team at the SOMC Cancer Center, but the advancement of cancer services in our community is led by a team. The SOMC Cancer Committee is comprised of a multidisciplinary team representing physicians from the diagnostic and treatment specialties and non-physicians from administrative and support services.
The cancer committee develops and evaluates the annual goals and objectives for the clinical, community outreach, quality improvement and program endeavors related to cancer care. Meetings are held at least quarterly. Within the cancer committee is the Cancer Leadership Team that provides strategic leadership and acts as the governing body to make decisions related to the cancer program.
