Who administers chemotherapy?
Medical oncologists, or physicians specializing in cancer treatment, provide chemotherapy. The SOMC Cancer Center recently welcomed two Hematologists/Medical Oncologists, Ebenezer Kio, MD and Amory Novoselac, MD.
Hematology involves the science of the blood and blood-producing organs, while oncology is the branch of medicine involving cancer and its treatment and prevention.
