A year ago, a bone marrow biopsy revealed that he had non-hodgkin’s lymphoma in his blood and bones. In Tom’s words, “I feared the unknown.” He said the people taking care of him at the SOMC Cancer Center calmed his nerves by explaining everything.

After chemotherapy treatments for several months, Tom is cancer free. He says a positive attitude; his second family and the cozy environment at the SOMC Cancer Center helped him make it through the tough days. Tom is back to work and he feels more compassionate about life then ever before.
