Wendi has dedicated her life to educating the public about cancer prevention, early diagnosis and treatment. As the director of the SOMC Cancer Center, she is passionate about her job. She never imagined that, at the age of 39, she would need to use her years of experience to face her biggest challenge — fighting her own breast cancer.
She says she draws strength, courage and determination from the hundreds of patients she has seen through the years. Because of them, she knows she can beat cancer. Her message to women is to stay informed.
