About the Facility

The Welcoming Center contains the control desk from which all center information is given, member sign-ins, towels and locker keys. Babysitting services are provided for a small fee during specified hours. A lounge and vending area is available for after-workout relaxation. Our modern locker room facilities also contain hot/dry saunas and massage therapy by appointment.

The Fitness Center contains a three-lane banked track with a cushioned surface for walking or jogging. The track surrounds the fitness area which contains weight training machines, free weights, and a wide variety of cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, steppers, bikes and rowers.

Our gymnasium area houses a wide variety of recreational and fitness programs such as basketball, volleyball, group fitness and stretch classes. The gym floor is made of the finest maple hardwood with a special flex system to lesson impact on body joints. A state-of-the-art sound system keeps group fitness classes moving.

The Aquatics Center contains two pools, a 25-meter, 4-lane lap pool and a 20x25-foot therapy pool used for injury therapy, rehabilitation and arthritis classes. The pools are operated at different temperatures to accommodate different needs.

Several of our Rehabilitation Services are also located in the SOMC LIFE Center.
