In advance of the opening of SOMC Pediatric Associates, Southern Ohio Medical Center is inviting parents to have their children potentially star in a series of online commercials promoting the service. All they have to do is record and submit a video of their child answering two simple questions:
- “Why are you excited about the opening of SOMC Pediatric Associates?”
- “Why should you be featured in a video promoting SOMC’s new pediatric facility?”
The best videos will be posted to SOMC’s Facebook fan page and voted on by SOMC’s fans. Those that receive the most votes will earn the opportunity to star in a series of upcoming videos promoting SOMC Pediatric Associates.
“We are always looking for ways to engage the community and keep our fans involved,” Director of Community Relations Kara Redoutey said. “Not only does this contest accomplish that, but it also puts the focus on those who will benefit the most from SOMC Pediatric Associates – the children in our community.”
Each video should feature only one child and be no longer than 60 seconds in length. Children featured must be between the ages of 3 and 12. Videos must be emailed to CommunityRelations@somc.org by noon on Friday, July 12.
All submissions will be reviewed and a panel will select the finalists, which will be posted to Southern Ohio Medical Center’s Facebook fan page. Fans of SOMC will then be able to vote for their favorite contestant by either liking or sharing the video. Shares must be “public” in order to be counted.
