The risks include increasing age, smoking, family history, high blood pressure, physical inactivity, being overweight, diabetes, high cholesterol and high triglycerides (blood fat). Warning signs of a heart attack include uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain in the center of the chest that lasts more than a few minutes or goes away and comes back; discomfort in the arms, back, neck, jaw or stomach; shortness of breath, nausea, cold sweats or dizziness.
