SOMC Welcomes 50 New Junior Volunteers

The 2011 Class of Junior Volunteers for Southern Ohio Medical Center participated in orientation the week of June 5. About 50 participants, ages 15-18 representing all area schools will provide support for the services and programs of SOMC throughout the summer. The volunteers will work in departments such as Microbiology, Grounds and Gardens, Medical Records and Same Day Surgery. Some of the volunteers are scheduled to work at other SOMC campuses such as the SOMC Cancer Center, Hospice, Lucasville Rehab and physician offices.
