The Monitored Care Unit (MCU), formerly known as the Stepdown Unit/Telemetry Unit, is a 44-bed unit located on the east wing of the second floor. Our unit provides care to cardiac patients, medical/surgical patients, hemodialysis patients and onocology patients. Our staff consists of qualified RNs, LPNs, nursing assistants, nurse interns and unit clerks/monitor techs. Several of our RNs are certified in specialty areas such as delivery of chemotherapeutic drugs and medical surgical nursing.

The MCU management team is comprised of a nurse manager, Linda Horner, RN, and four assistant nurse managers, Wanda Adkins, RN, Connie Florek, RN, Frances Loop, RN, and Donna Holcomb, RN.
