Nearly 13,000 surgeries are performed each year at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Our surgery department includes 10 operating rooms with 4 additional endoscopy suites for a total of 14.

SOMC averages 49 surgical cases per day. We have 135 staff members in Same Day Surgery, Operating Room, Recovery Room and Sterile Processing.

We use the latest technology to provide the bast care for our patients. Recent additions include Image Guidance for Sinus Surgery, HD video equipment for Laproscopy and Peripheral Vascular Lab for minimally invasive vascular procedures.

SOMC Surgery is located on the first floor of the main campus. We take great pride in providing exceptional customer to our patients and their family members and loved ones. Our family waiting area is equipped with a patient tracking system so that family members can stay informed of the patient’s progress.
