Contact Hours
Contact hours will be given (14.5) for Nurses in attendance for 80% of the program. A total of 14.25 contact hours prescribed credits will be given by the AAFP for physicians.
Fees & Registration
The classes are free to all SOMC employees and a fee of $200 per person will be charged to non-employees. Fees do not represent income to the American Heart Association. Registration is required. Non-employees contact Workforce Development at 356-2733. Employees may schedule through API using course code AHA201.
Planners and presenters have no conflicts of interest or lack thereof. No commercial support is provided for this course. Study Guides will be sent approximately 2 weeks before each class. Pre-requisites required. Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms is required for this course. Southern Ohio Medical Center (OH-098/12/1/11) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Ohio Nurses Association, (OBN-001-91), an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
