Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck, is a surgical procedure that firms and flattens the abdomen for both men and women, by removing excess skin, tightening muscle, and reducing fat. Abdominoplasty may also help tighten abdominal muscles separated and weakened by pregnancy and is frequently combined with liposuction.
Liposuction
Liposuction is a surgical procedure for men and women that removes isolated pockets of fat that are diet and/or exercise resistant. The safest form of liposuction is called “tumescence of the tissue” whereby a small cannula (hollow tube) is inserted through tiny incisions near the fat and suctioned on multiple layers. Liposuction frequently requires general anesthesia and is preformed in the safety of the SOMC operating room.
Arm Lift
An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a procedure to reduce both the fat and excess skin of the upper arms. Newer techniques in brachioplasty allow for incisions that are hidden within the axillae (armpit). Brachioplasty is performed as an outpatient procedure in the SOMC operating room.
Thigh Lift
A thigh lift is a major surgical procedure used for sagging skin and fat of the thighs. During the procedure, the excess skin and fat in the thigh area is removed to create a more contoured look. This procedure is frequently common in patients who lost a large amount of weight. A thigh lift is performed under general anesthesia and typically requires an overnight stay in the SOMC facility.
Lower Body Lift
A lower body lift is a major surgical procedure used to remove the sagging tissue, skin, and fat of the thighs, buttocks, and knees. The procedure will effectively enhance the overall appearance of the body below the level of waist to achieve a more toned appearance. This procedure is frequently common in patients who lost a large amount of weight. A lower body lift is performed under general anesthesia and typically requires an overnight stay in the SOMC facility.
