Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers collaborate with coaches, parents, atheletes, & physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. SOMC currently partners with 13 local high schools with the Athletic Training Outreach Program. The program provides the schools with healthcare coverage, risk abatement, student safety, cost savings and improved relationships with parents.
