SOMC earns “five stars” for nurse communication

Southern Ohio Medical Center has cut the ribbon on the new community pharmacy at the SOMC Waverly Family Health Center.

“The addition of a new community pharmacy in Waverly means our patients can get the medications they need, even before they leave their appointment,” SOMC Community Pharmacy Manager Herbie Butterbaugh said. “We’re excited to be able to offer this service and to make quality care even more accessible for our community.”

The community pharmacy is now open seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Pharmacy patients can take advantage of a variety of services, including Drive Thru service, MedPAKs, free delivery, vaccines, medication therapy management, medication reminders, the ability to accept prescriptions from any providers and most insurances, and more.

It is the latest service offered at the Waverly Family Health Center, which already includes urgent care services, family practice, pediatrics, outpatient lab, x-ray services and specialty appointments.
