Southern Ohio Medical Center Hosts Free CPR & AED Training
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is partnering with the American Heart Association to promote lifesaving skills during National CPR & AED Awareness Week, June 1–7. Community members are invited to participate in free Family & Friends CPR courses designed to teach the basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The hands-on training sessions will take place at the Braunlin Building Conference Center on the following dates:
- Tuesday, June 2, 2026 | 9 – 11 a.m.
- Thursday, June 4, 2026 | 5 – 7 p.m.
Participants will receive practical instruction, a student manual, and a CPR face shield to support continued learning and preparedness. Funding for the materials is in thanks to the SOMC Development Foundation.
