Meet Our Recruiters

Ashley joined SOMC in 2012 and has worked in various positions across the organization. She joined the Medical Staff Recruitment team in 2017 where she serves as a full-cycle recruiter. In this position, she leads searches for Anesthesiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Hospitalist, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, Urology, and CRNAs.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Marshall University. Go Herd! She is a Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) and is a member of the Ohio Network of Physician Recruiters.

Ashley was born and raised in the Portsmouth area and she currently resides in Wheelersburg with her husband and two children. In her free time, she likes spending time with her family, traveling, and volunteering with the SOMC Pediatric Guild and her church.

Fun Fact: Her family recently moved to a farm in Wheelersburg and are renovating the farmhouse while living in it. They currently raise chickens, rabbits, guinea fowl, and turkeys and hope to expand with alpacas in the future.

Jill joined the SOMC Medical Education Department in 2014. She quickly discovered her passion for supporting students on their educational journey. When she transitioned into Medical Staff Recruitment, it was a natural fit. She coordinates rotations for residents, medical students, NP, and PA students, and recruits for Physicians and Advanced Practitioners.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from THE Ohio State University. O-H! Jill is a Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) and a member of the Ohio Network of Physician Recruiters.

Jill grew up in Proctorville and now lives in Lawrence County. In her free time, she enjoys organizing, traveling, and trying gluten-free recipes. She is active in her church and the Pediatric Guild.

Fun Fact: Jill’s parents were both only children, so she has no aunts, uncles, or first cousins — but plenty of nieces and nephews to spoil!

After graduating from Shawnee State University in 2007 with degrees in Healthcare Management and Accounting, Katie began her career in SOMC's finance department. With over 15 years of healthcare experience, she now leads the Medical Staff Recruitment team.

Katie is a Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) and serves on the board of the Ohio Network of Physician Recruiters.

Originally from northeast of Portsmouth, she enjoys traveling, running 5Ks, and spending time with her husband, three children, and dogs Bonnie & Clyde, Indy, and Lulu.

Fun Fact: Katie was born at SOMC — her SOMC connection began at birth!

Megan started at SOMC in 2014 as a lifeguard at the LIFE Center, later becoming a service rep and group fitness instructor. In 2017, she transitioned to the Medical Staff Recruitment team where she now serves as Medical Staff Specialist and Academic Navigator.

She holds a BS in Business Administration with a Healthcare focus from Shawnee State University and an MS in Management and Leadership from Campbellsville University. Megan is a CPRP and a member of the Ohio Network of Physician Recruiters.

Originally from Peebles, OH, Megan now lives in Lucasville. She enjoys new restaurants, volunteering with the Pediatric Guild, and is active in her church.

Fun Fact: Megan is hooked on audiobooks while driving — she uses the Hoopla app and tracks how many books she can finish in a year.
