Maternity Remembrance Walk

The Annual event is a reflective walk to raise awareness of pregnancy loss and infant loss. The walk is in honor of all babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death. Donations and any proceeds from the event benefit the SOMC Nursery Bereavement Fund, which is used for education and training for our staff to equip them with the knowledge needed to provide the “Gold Standard of Care” for families experiencing an unexpected perinatal loss. It also provides resources for the mothers and families such as Perinatal Bereavement Kits, pamphlets, books, keepsake impressions, keepsake memory box, photo access and burial outfits as well as a possible burial fund for families who are experiencing an additional financial stress or burden with burial expenses.
