Search for Jobs
Search open jobs by selecting the appropriate facility, job category or job status. You can click on search to view all posted jobs.
View the job(s) you are interested in by clicking on the job title. You can select multiple jobs by placing a check mark in the box out beside the job title and clicking view selected job(s).
Complete the Application
When you select a position you would like to apply for, click on the “Click Here to Apply On-line”. This will forward you to an external application.
External applicants do not click “current employees click here to apply on-line”. This function is an employee bid slip (not an application) and will only be processed for SOMC employees.
Follow the instructions provided. If this is your first time applying for a job at SOMC you must register a username and password. You must remember your password and username when using this on-line application process. If you forget your username or password click on “forgot username and Password” to retrieve.
You must use a valid e-mail address when filling out your application.
When you have completed the application and submit it, make sure you receive a message that says your application has been submitted. Also if you are using a valid e-mail you will get an e-mail message letting you know that your application has been received.
You may use the copy function to transfer your information from one application to another. Please make sure to verify that your application is complete and accurate.
Important – Please Read!
After submitting an application, you will advance to another screen that has a message confirming you applied for a “specific job”. If you do not see this message, your application is not complete & you will be directed to the beginning of the application you just submitted.
You will see items in red that need to be completed and then you must submit the application again.
You will receive a message at your e-mail address that informs you that your application has been received by our office. If you do not get this e-mail, your application was not accepted by our online system.
When to Apply Online
You can apply on-line via your computer 24 hours a day. Our employment office located on our Main Campus in the Waller Building Suite B03 has a computer terminal in our office that you can use to submit an application. We will provide you assistance with the application process if needed. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.

I’ve applied for several jobs, now what?
The Recruiters review submitted applications every day to see if you are eligible to apply and meet the qualifications of the job description. A Recruiter will contact you to set up an interview, if you are asked to proceed in the process. You are only considered for the positions that you apply for, so we do recommend that you apply for all positions that you are interested in..
Job Posting Update
We post new positions every day. We recommend signing up for the Job Agent so that you can be notified when positions you are interested are posted on the job board. Our job listings may change as positions are filled.
How do I check on my application?
You are the only person that can check the status of your application(s). Go to the apply online page. Under the search button you will see a gray box that says application status, click on “log in now”, enter your username and password and select “application history status” to find out the progress of your application. Sign up for our job agent to receive notification of future job openings.
