Healing Hearts Objectives
To provide children with the opportunity to meet in a safe and accepting environment where they can share their experiences with other children who have lost a loved one. To provide information on grief in order to facilitate a better understanding and expression of their feelings. To enable children to merge their feelings with memories of their loved ones. To increase the child’s awareness of available support systems. To instill a sense of hope for the future within children who have experienced loss.

A special day camp for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one
Saturday, January 28, 2017 at East Campus in the Gibson Building in Portsmouth from 9-3pm

No cost, the camp is free to all children who want to attend
Please register your child HERE
*Please Note* There is a section of registration where your child will need to help answer the questions.
oNo, you will register your child at camp the morning of the event and return at 2:00 PM.
No, your child will remain at the SOMC Life Center the entire day.
Your child should wear comfortable clothes and bring a sweatshirt (due to air conditioning).
Yes, lunch and snacks will be provided to all children and staff members
Yes, volunteering for Healing Hearts is something is something we take very serious. If you are interested in volunteering please complete the following application. There will only be 20 volunteer selected.
