Memorial Ride raises more than $23,000 for SOMC HospicePosted on August 1, 2012
SOMC Hospice Director Teresa Ruby watches as participants in the 2012 Hospice Memorial Bike Ride take off. More than 300 motorcycle enthusiasts revved up their engines and collected more than $23,000 during the 4th Annual Memorial Bike Ride, held July 28 on the SOMC East Campus. The event was created in memory of Hospice Patient Ricky Bryan, as well as all hospice patients and their families, and annually raises efforts for the SOMC Hospice Caritas Fund.
SOMC Hospice would like to thank those who made the event possible, including: American Legion Post 23 Riders, Mike Phillips, Portsmouth Motorcycle Club, Amanda Eaton, Mac-a-Doos, Krogers, Party Connection, Darren Mault of the Scioto Ribber, Pespi Cola, R&R Tent Rentals, the Portsmouth Police Department, the New Boston Police Department, The Dons, Sharon Thompson of ESP Enterprise, Jones Cycle Supply and Eugene Gahms.
