Greenup Baseball Team Donates to SOMCPosted on May 27, 2011

The Greenup County High School Musketeers baseball team went “Pink” during their game on May 12. In honor of Mother’s Day and in support of breast cancer awareness, the team wore pink jerseys and socks and the field was painted with pink breast cancer awareness ribbons. The Greenup County Baseball Boosters, the Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity teams, coaches Greg Logan, Steve Logan, Donnie Rowe, Chris Hughes and Kevin Harper arranged the evening and raised $1,000, which was donated to the Southern Ohio Medical Center Breast Cancer Compassion Fund-a fund that provides assistance to local breast cancer patients. Pictured are members of the team and their mothers.
