The Southern Ohio Medical Center Emergency Department was recently presented the “Golden Hour Award” for excellence in trauma care by Grant Medical Center Trauma Services.
The award was presented during the 2nd Annual Appreciation Luncheon, June 1 in Columbus, Ohio. Director of Trauma Services at Grant Medical Services Dr. Ron Paul presented the award to representatives from SOMC. Marietta Memorial Hospital, Pike Community Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital and Grant Medical Center were in attendance.
“It was an honor to receive this award,” Mary Kate Dilts Skaggs, administrative director of Nursing for Emergency, Pediatrics and Outpatient Services at SOMC, said. “The ‘Golden Hour Award’ demonstrates our ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care.”
