SOMC’s Cheatham Accepted In ACEP ProgramPosted on July 19, 2008
Jason Cheatham, DO, a physician on staff at Southern Ohio Medical Center, has been accepted in the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians Leadership Development Program for 2008-9.
The Leadership Development Program is to provide instruction and orientation for preparation in becoming leaders in Ohio ACEP and the potential for national ACEP leadership.
Dr. Cheatham is assistant director of the Emergency Department at SOMC with special interest in cardiovascular emergency medicine and chest pain management. He is a clinical adjunct faculty member of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency as chief resident at Akron General Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shawnee State University here in Portsmouth.
