Inpatient and outpatient programs and services are delivered through the work of more than 2,000 employees and a staff of more than 140 board-certified or board-eligible physicians and specialists. The operation of SOMC follows guidelines of The Joint Commission, the nation’s predominant standards-setting body in health care, and SOMC has received top honors from that organization for meeting standards.
