Meet Zest, our Hospice Dog!

Zest is the fourth hospice therapy dog to serve at SOMC, proudly following in the pawprints of Swan, Marlee, and Ray. She received her specialized training through Circle Tail Training Center, and after two years of preparation there, she completed an internship right here at our hospice center to ensure the perfect fit for both our patients and staff.

Zest now works a full-time, 40-hour week schedule, just like the rest of our dedicated team. To ensure she stays healthy and well-rested, she goes home each evening to relax outside of work.

Whether she’s offering a gentle nuzzle, easing anxiety with her presence, or simply brightening the room with her spirit, Zest is already making a big impact. She is truly a ray of sunshine in our hospice community—and we couldn’t be more grateful to have her.
